𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻!

Winter Pool Bookings 2026

Our winter pool sessions start on Saturday 3rd October and we are now taking bookings for October and November. Please book at the river with Gail this Tuesday 1st September and Thursday 3rd September.

Sessions are again at 4:00 pm and 4:50 pm on Saturday evenings.

The cost is the same as last year, £8.50 per person per session (pool fees are beyond our control. Compared to other clubs it is still excellent value for money). Pool sessions are by the calendar month and to ensure we cover pool hire charges we must ask for the full month paid in advance please.

October is a 5-week month: October 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 – Total cost £42.5 per paddler 
November is a 4 week month: November  7, 14, 21 & 28 – Total cost £34 per paddler 

Demand is expected to be high, so to be as fair as possible please note:

• We are initially saving half the available pool slots for our Tuesday night session paddlers and the other half for our Thursday night session paddlers. If after a week or two there are unsold places we will open them up to anybody.
• Up to a max of 2 places per session can be for freestyle (playboating), but only for regular summer paddlers. (Even if you have not tried playboating on the river you can try it in the pool). If after a week or two we still have unsold places we will open up freestyle places to anybody.
• If we can’t fit you in for October, you will get a place in November.
• You will not be able to book two consecutive months (unless there are still places available after everyone has had the opportunity to book).
• Pool sessions can only be booked in person at the river with payment for the 4 week or 5 week month. No phone or Facebook bookings will be accepted.
• We must ensure we cover our pool costs so there are no refunds if you miss a week, unless we can resell your place. If you think you will miss a week, please let the bookings officer know by the Wednesday before the session if possible to give us time to sell your space. Obviously there will be last minute illnesses, but please let us know as soon as possible and we will try to resell your place.
• If you cannot get the month you want, please add your name to our reserve list and we will endeavour to contact you if there is a cancellation. Last minute Saturday cancellations may be advertised on our Facebook page on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Please do not resell your place yourself to friends as we will have a reserve list of people wanting to paddle.
