Club Marathon 17th October – Volunteers required

Our race on Sunday 17^th October is an important day in our calendar but it needs volunteers to make it a success.

Most of the jobs can be done by non-paddlers and are a great opportunity for parents and other family members to get involved.

Members of the club committee will be leading on the day but any assistance would be greatly appreciated (free coffee/tea for all helpers)

We need

· Helpers with catering and cake stall

· Car Park enforcer

· Assistant check-in/starter/timekeeper/finish marshal (two ideally)

· Jetty marshal – to control those getting on and off the water

· Turn marshal at the white house for the junior race (this can be done from the bank or from a boat)

· Turn marshal at Castlethorpe bridge (this can be from the bank or boat)

· Turn marshal at Cadney Bridge (bank based)

· Chaperone paddler for the junior race

· Possibly – marshal at the motorway bridge (bank or boat)

· Pre-start marshal (bank based)
