On reading the “Round the island challenge” message again last night I realised that the last but one paragraph may have given the impression that the club approved paddling with no social distancing. This is not the case. The club recognises that some experienced and proficient paddlers will go on the water alone and that it is not always possible to paddle with a member of your household. If you paddle with a buddy from outside your household, the British Canoeing and government guidelines say social distance using the 2 meter rule at all times. GSCC recommend that all our members stick to this guidance.
