No Marathon Training Saturday 6th June
The squad are away at Burton on Trent this Saturday so NO marathon training.
Marathon Training In June & Derwent Hasler
Sue and Graham are away until 22nd June so:- Tuesday sessions and Saturday 13th June will depend on availability of Martin and Dave (LOOK OUT FOR EMAILS ETC)
Saturday 20th, Dave will be leading and it will also be boat packing for the Mike Jones Derwent event on Sunday 21st. I think Martin will be coordinating the entries so again watch out for messages.
Big Paddle Cleanup
Once again we are supporting PaddleUK’s The Big Paddle Cleanup.
Some of our members last night braved the rain showers to take part in PaddleUK’s “The Big Paddle Clean Up”, cleaning the stretch from our jetty northwards.
We didn’t collect much, which is good, but if someone wants to claim the duvet, too late, it’s in the bin!

June River Sessions
We are still taking bookings for May river sessions:
- for kayak: Tuesday and Thursday
- for marathon, SUP and freestlye: Tuesday onlyย (freestyle on Thursday if a coach is available)
- for canoe: Thursday (on Tuesday if a coach is available)

The weather (AND THE WATER!) is warming up and bookings for the river are now open to all paddlers regardless of age (approx 6 years old min) or ability. Beginners are also welcome!
All sessions start at 6:30 on the water.
Cost is ยฃ6 for a session for one session a week. Subsequent sessions in the same week are only ยฃ2. social paddling is only ยฃ2 even if it is your only session.
