Malton Marathon Boat Loading, Directions & Paddler List

Boat Loading Saturday 20th May

Please can all paddlers be at the boathouse tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 20th) at 2:00pm to help tie kayaks to the trailer and to sort out roof racks and v-bars on cars where appropriate.

Can parents/paddlers also collect their paddles and buoyancy aids to take home with them.

There is no on the water training tomorrow, but paddlers can take their boats out to check seat positions etc.

Graham and Sue are collecting the trailer from the boathouse on Sunday morning. All other boats going on car roofs are to go home with you Saturday afternoon if possible. Please ley is know if that is a problem.

Malton Hasler Sunday 21st May 

Check in time is between 10:00am to 11:30am, with race briefing at 11:45. Racing starts at 12:00 noon. please allow plenty of time to get there, Sunday traffic can be unpredictable. A good run from Brigg is 1 hour and 12 minutes according to Google Maps. This route is by going over the Humber Bridge/Beverley By-pass/Wetwang route. We do not recommend going via York as the A64 can be very busy.

Entry fees are payable on the day to Graham:

£8.00 – 18 years and over per seat  

£5.00 – Under 18’s in Hasler divisions

£2.50 – Geoff Sanders Trophy

Don’t forget your suncream and plenty of water to drink. There is no catering on site so you may bring sandwiches, though there is a Morrisons within walking distance.
