Help is Still Needed!!!
Our marathon is next Sunday (16th Oct) and we still need some volunteers to make it run smoothly.
- One car park marshall
- One support paddler for the 2 mile junior race
- One White house turn marshal
- One Castlethorpe Bridge turn marshal
All of these jobs (except the support paddler) can be done from the bank so are suitable for non-paddlers.
Cakes are also still welcome for the cake stall (This can end up making as much money for the club as our race entries!)

Junior Paddlers
Don’t forget the invitation to bring along junior paddlers even if they don’t have a boat. We have a stock of Lightnings together with paddles and BAs which we can lend you on the day.

Cake stall
Just a reminder that I will be at the pool Saturday night if anyone has any cakes for the Hasler cake stall on Sunday, or if you are joining us Sunday just bring them along then. All monies raised will go into GSCC funds

Kit for Sale
At our marathon race on Sunday 16th there will be the opportunity to buy and sell canoeing kit for both club members and visitors.
Currently I am aware of buoyancy aids, racing paddles and slalom kayaks up for grabs. Bring along anything you would like to sell with a label showing price and who the money is to go to.
