The club is organising a regional Sprint and Marathon event on Sunday afternoon – 11th July. Please arrive for 1pm.
Parking is available in the club car-park and the car-park next to the road
500m sprints starting at about 1:45 (probably 3 boats per start depending on numbers and weed)
Marathon racing to take place after the end of the sprints
3km for juniors (Div A, B and C paddlers) – this event will have on the water support
5km race aimed at Div 7, 8 and 9 paddlers
10km race aimed at Div 6 and above. This will be two laps of the 5km course and will involve a portage during second lap.
If there is demand we will also have a 15km race for Div 3 and above – 3 laps and two portages
The number of starts will depend on the numbers attending.
Refreshments/sweets/ chocolate bars will be available to purchase. There is no charge for attending.
Toilet facilities are available at the leisure centre but due to the ongoing Covid regulations we are unable to provide indoor changing facilities except in exceptional circumstances.
You will be asked to complete Track and Trace on arrival and “normal” social distancing rules will apply. We are using the same risk assessment as we used for the autumn event last year.
Hopefully by the time of our autumn Tony and Shirley Pell Memorial Hasler (17th October) we will be back to more normal arrangements.
