t was a fantastic day at the Wagon Lane slalom today, the sun has been shining and the river’s been great.! Plus we had a bit of success too:
Fastest K1 male in div 3 and 1st place was Dan Snow! Well done Dan! Beinn Roberts also competed for GSCC.
It is an awesome event put on by Bradford & Bingley Canoe Club (BD16 1LT) and it is the same format again tomorrow (Sunday). The sun is booked and the river’s flowing, so why pop along to watch? 🌞
We also had marathon Training session today where Martin Heywood, Alison Cooksey, Hannah Senior and Issy Roberts ventured a bit further covering nearly 7 miles, and Kev Lovett is representing the club in the Nottingham Hasler marathon tomorrow (it’s out of region so we are not attending in force).
