Marathon training is ON this Saturday. To allow people to get to the pool for the 4 o’clock session we want to be on the water for 2 pm so please try to get there for about 1:30.
Why not try a different type of boat? and I will be taking entries for our race on 19th October

Our Autumn club event is almost with us. This is part of the national Hasler series of events, with us racing in the Yorkshire region.
There is a four mile race open to anyone in any type of canoe\/kayak\/paddleboard and a 2 mile race open to Under 14’s. If you do not want to paddle please come along to see what it is all about.
We will have refreshments to buy including our famous charity cake stall.
Events like this need volunteers to make them a success. Almost all jobs are “bank-based” so please volunteer if you are able.
p.s. Cakes\/biscuits etc will be needed for the cake stall. Even if you can’t come on the Sunday you could bring down a cake to the pool on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Hasler Series and Trophy are named after Major Herbert \u2018Blondie\u2019 Hasler, DSO, OBE, a distinguished royal Marine officer in World War II who famously paddled 85 miles upstream, at night, into occupied France in a successful attempt to blow up enemy shipping and survived to tell the tale.
