Don’t miss our annual end-of-river-season Fancy Dress and Torchlit Paddle and BBQ!

The BBQ s \u00a34 per person (the paddle is free). Please book with Jean or Gail at a Tuesday or Thursday session.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also book your place today at he Family Day!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dress up yourself and your boat however you like (but keep it safe, you still need your buoyancy aid!).

Don’t forget your head torch, and decorate your boat with\u00a0lots of lights as we paddle back in the dark.

Please be at the river for our normal meeting time of 6:00pm to allow plenty of time to decorate your boat.\u00a0We will have judging on the bank before the paddle starts. There might even be a prize!\u00a0Then we’ll paddle upstream past the railway bridge and back.

Please add your name to the attendance list in the boathouse. This will also reserve you your boat of choice (kayak or canoe) on a first come first\u00a0served basis.

Then it’s BBQ time outside the boathouse!\u00a0

Our fancy dress paddles started in 2010, before that they were just torch lit. For inspiration have a look at\u00a0all our fancy dress\u00a0entries over the years. Click on the year to see them.
