An excellent turn out for GSCC\u2019s 3rd #shepaddles event, this time in the pool at Ancholme leisure centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

25 ladies and girls, some new to paddling and some familiar faces, joined us for a fun session learning and improving some basic kayak skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The British Canoeing #shepaddles initiative is there to get more women paddling but it\u2019s also supporting women who want to develop their coaching and leadership roles. Our Paddlesport Assistant Lydia has been awarded a British Canoeing #shepaddles bursary which is getting her off to a good start on her coaching journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look out for our next #shepaddles event or become a GSCC member and join us for our weekly Saturday night paddle sessions and this could this be you next year\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
