GSCC have in the past entered one or two teams into the Yorkshire Canoe Polo League, but for various reasons we haven’t had a team for a few years now, and we’d like to change that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is open to any age, male and female. The only pre-requisites are you are happy wearing a spray deck and can control a kayak! You do not need to roll but you do need to be able to be “T” rescued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need a minimum of 8 for a squad, with 5 playing during the match. Matches are usually played indoor in York on a few Saturday nights during the winter months. If we have enough interest we can train towards entering a team for the 2023\/24 season, so that’s\u00a0a year from now (It is too late to enter for the 2022\/23 season that starts soon. However, we may be able to arrange some friendlies, or stand in for a scratched team\u00a0at York).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polo is an exciting and demanding team sport and will bring on your personal paddling skills no end!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
