Our club hosts the Brigg Canoe Marathon twice a year and this is your first opportunity of the year to get back on the water at a club event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Brigg Marathon is one of the main events in the regional racing calendar and attracts paddlers from a number of other clubs so you can be assured of a good day out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All paddlers can compete in races between 2 miles for under 14 year olds to 12 miles for the most proficient seniors.
Any boat can be used – Single Kayak, Single Canoe, Double Kayak, Double Canoe \u2013 even SUP in the lowest divisions.
We encourage paddlers to use their own boats but also have a variety of club boats that can be borrowed if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We need YOU to enter so that the club can have a really great event and hopefully pick up the Regional Trophy at the end of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are not yet ready to race you can STILL support the club. We need YOU to volunteer to help make it a success. We need Car Park Marshals; Turn Marshals; Start and Finish Assistants etc. No experience necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More details will be available at the pool on Saturdays and via our mailings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
