Don’t miss our annual end-of-river-season Fancy Dress (and hopefully Torchlit) Paddle and BBQ! We didn’t have one last year due to Covid.
For the BBQ afterwards, we need to know numbers, so please book and pay for you food in advance. It is \u00a33 per person for the BBQ (the paddle is free). Please book with Jean at a Tuesday or Thursday session.<\/strong><\/em>
Then dress up yourself and your boat however you like (but keep it safe, you still need your buoyancy aid!).
We say “hopefully torchlit”! as\u00a0usually include lots of lights in our designs as we paddle back in the dark, but we are a week earlier this year than usual, so it may not quite be dark! (don’t forget your head torch though, just in case!).
Please be at the river for our normal start time of 6:00pm, but don’t forget to allow plenty of time to decorate your boat.\u00a0We will have judging on the bank before the paddle starts. There might even be a prize!\u00a0Then we’ll \u00a0paddle upstream past the railway bridge and maybe return in the dark!!
Please add your name to the attendance list in the boathouse. This will also reserve you your boat of choice (kayak or canoe) on a first come first\u00a0served basis
Then it’s BBQ time outside the boathouse!\u00a0
