Well done to all the paddlers and coaches who turned out for our first winter Saturday session. The weather certainly was not kind, with rain on and off most of the day, but at least it was mild.
9 paddlers plus 4 coaches attended the morning general session, and 8 paddlers plus 3 coaches attended the afternoon marathon session. I coached during the marathon session and we had three groups. Sue took the younger paddlers up and down the boathouse stretch, and a special mention goes to young Matilda, who had her first go in a lightning marathon boat with her brother Charles (Who is now becoming quite proficient!). Myself and Graham took the older paddlers around the Island, splitting them into a groups of 2 and 3 (plus a coach each).
We have spaces for more paddlers in both sessions so please book with Gail through the usual channels.
We also now have a few club cagoules we can lend out, but numbers are limited so please bring your own if possible.
