Lydia has managed to shave over half a minute off and is now at 39:30.<br>Alexander has completed the circuit in a slalom boat in 43:49.<br>Sue has completed the circuit in her \u201cnew\u201d boat without falling in.<br>Tom has also taken the challenge and had a trusty assistant on the bank ready to record his time.<br>The problem is the \u201ctrusty\u201d assistant got chatting and didn\u2019t realise he had got back so the best we can say is \u201cless than 35 minutes and probably closer to 30\u201d.<br>There is still opportunity to record a time but the increasing weed on the old river means records are unlikely to fall until the autumn.<br>But GO AHEAD and prove me wrong.<br>Graham<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Despite the weed getting thicker through the town, a few intrepid paddlers have braved the town circuit.
