Here’s a message from Michelle Bourne, our Fundraising Officer:<\/p>\n

“Back in July this year some of you will know that I applied on behalf of GSCC, to Brigg Biomass Plant Community Fund for funding, as they provide grants to groups in the community.<\/p>\n

The bid I was submitted was to encourage and support people onto the river who are less confident in an enclosed kayak or if they have a disability that means they would benefit from been inside a canoe with other people. The equipment can be used by existing members whilst also encouraging new people to \u201cgive it a go\u201d.<\/p>\n

We applied for funding for:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • 2 x Katakanu boats<\/li>\n
  • 8 x tootega plus 85 sit on top boats<\/li>\n
  • 8 x paddles<\/li>\n
  • 14 x buoyancy aids<\/li>\n
  • 10 x boat licences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Well I am thrilled to say that our bid was successful and we will be awarded \u00a37847 by \u00a0Brigg Biomass Plant Community Fund, to be spent with immediate effect on the above equipment<\/p>\n
