On saturday 23rd April some of our members took part in a Division 3 and 4 slalom at Oughtibridge near Sheffield and did really well:<\/p>\n

In\u00a0\u00a0Div 4 women’s K1 Jamelia Snow came 1st, Rebecca Selby came 2nd and Anita Swiostek came 5th.
\nIn Div 4 men’s k1 – Dan Snow came 1st
\nIn Div 3 men’s k1 Julian Selbycame 16th
\nand in Div 3 women’s k1 Sian Mitchell came 12th<\/p>\n

So well done to everyone. especially Jamelia, Rebecca and Dan, and also to Anita who was taking part in her first slalom and this was only her second go on moving water. Anita attended our Tanfield day last September, so watch out for our next trip so you too can learn the skills to try moving water slalom! We will also be having flat water slalom training on our river during the summer months and will be having our own club slalom event (date to follow soon).<\/p>\n
