During the sessions you will be working towards\u00a0Paddlepower passport and Discovery for youngsters\u00a0and British Canoeing\u00a0Star Awards for adults, in kayak and canoe. There may also be the opportunity to try specific disciplines like sprint and polo.<\/p>\n
For both nights we meet at the boathouse at 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start on the river and the session will finish at 7:00pm.<\/p>\n
Sessions are booked by the calendar month and the cost is\u00a0\u00a35 per person per session. We ask that you pay for the full month in advance, so with April being a four week month, that is \u00a320.<\/p>\n
New for this year: If you can’t make one of the sessions that you have pre-paid for, let us know 24 hours in advance and you will be credited for the next available session!<\/em><\/p>\n To book your place, please see the booking officer\u00a0at the pool on Saturday night, or phone the bookings officer on\u00a007444 050100 and leave a message.<\/p>\n Warm clothing will be needed on the river, depending on the weather. It is best to avoid wearing cotton as it makes you cold when wet. Synthetic materials are preferable such as fleeces or polyester.\u00a0A cagoule should\u00a0also be worn to reduce wind chill, and also a warm hat. Paddlers must wear something on their feet (old trainers, sandals or plimsolls) to stop bare feet coming into contact with dangerous items on the riverbank or in the water.<\/p>\n You will also need to bring a towel and a dry change of clothes as it is likely you will get wet at some point! We have segregated changing facilities, but no showers.
