We have had a discussion with Canoe England to look at what we need to do to become a Paddle-Ability Top Club under the Club Mark banner. We already cater for varying disabilities but there is a little work we need to do before we put our application in.<\/p>\n

We need to appoint a Paddle-Ability rep and the role is described below. The role will be as a rep responsible to the committee and not as a committee member.<\/p>\n

Club Paddle-Ability Rep\u00a0<\/strong>Role Description<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Responsible to:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Club committee through the chairperson<\/p>\n

Role purpose:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Act as a point of contact within the club for Paddle-Ability.
\nCommitment:<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 1 \u2013 2 hours per week plus relevant committee meetings<\/p>\n

Main Tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Act as the main contact for Paddle-Ability information and advice.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Liaise with the Paddle-Ability Operations Group.<\/li>\n
  • Support the Club with the development of a Paddle-Ability Program of Events.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure members are informed of Paddle-Ability initiatives.<\/li>\n
  • Complete annual Paddle-Ability reconciliation form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Skills required:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Organised and able to liaise with others to develop Paddle-Ability Programs<\/li>\n
    • Able to do basic administration<\/li>\n
    • Good communication and enthusiastic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
