We are considering offering canoe polo training for all members who are interested on Monday evenings on the River Ancholme outside our boathouse.<\/p>\n

If you are interested, please put your name on the list in the boathouse, or email\u00a0disciplines@gscc-online.com<\/a>\u00a0or leave a message on the facebook version of this news item.<\/p>\n

Canoe polo is a team game with 5 player on the pitch at any time.\u00a0You have to paddle in special polo kayaks\u00a0and where a helmet with visor. We will provide all the kit for the training sessions.The object is to score more goals than you opponents! The goals are suspended above the water and you throw the ball into the net. You also pass the ball to teammates by throwing or flicking with your paddle.\u00a0We usually run one or two teams in\u00a0the Yorkshire league during the winter, and have in the past entered a youth team when numbers permitted.
\nWe will only run this coaching if we get enough names, so if you want to try polo, and maybe get selected for one of our teams, put your name down now!<\/strong><\/p>\n
