£300 presented to The Beat Goes On 31 for Cardiac Screening for Youngsters

On Saturday evening before our pool session club members Theo Marshall and Lucy Hammond presented a cheque for £300 to Steve and Gill Ayling of local charity The Beat Goes On 31.

Every year GSCC choose a charity to support using half the proceeds from our cake stalls and raffles held at events. The other half goes to club funds.

You can visit The Beat Goes On 31 Facebook page by clicking here. They are fundraising to provide Cardiac Screening appointments for young people aged 14-35 years in conjunction with Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). You can visit CRY’s Facebook page by clicking here.

The Beat Goes On 31 are also campaigning the Government to introduce routine Cardiac screening for all young people attaining age 14 years. You can sign their petition to the government here.
