We had a great night at the end-of-river-season fancy dress paddle and BBQ. Thanks to all the coaches and catering people who ensured the night was a great success.

Each won a tub of Hereos, but I don’t remember any of them sharing them with me!
Prize for the best matching outfits should have gone to Martin and River, but there wasn’t one!
During the paddle which was cold and still and nice and dark, some of the paddlers saw a shooting star, and though we couldn’t see it, the aurora borealis was displaying (or didn’t notice it because it can look like thin whispy white cloud, and we don’t have cameras for eyes). However, it became much stronger later and pink was visible with the naked eyes, and this was intensified by cameras and phones. This was photo was taken in my garden at 9:45pm. I hope you saw it too!
