Sunday 3rd October – Marathon race at Manvers near Rotherham

We are taking entries for the Manvers marathon but, due to the weed closing our club, you need to get your entry to Graham either by email (marathon@gscc-online.com ) or phone (01724 721921) ASAP.

The race is on a lake and will provide competition for all levels of ability.

Even our newest pointy boat paddlers can join in the fun. This is a perfect opportunity for “marathon newbies”.

A number of our younger paddlers have been before (see below)

Can you name this “paddler”?

There are plenty of opportunities for spectators including an on-site cafe.

All the Hasler divisions will be available and there will be races for the Geoff Sanders Trophy for under 14s.

There will also be a Fun Race for all types of boats including SUPs.

Racing will start at 11 am (Geoff Sanders Trophy at 12:15)

We paddle in club tee-shirts or vests if possible but the correct colour tee-shirt is ok!

If you want to enter we need to know all the following details before Thursday 30th September.

If you need to borrow club equipment please fill in the second part of the table.
