An excellent turn out for GSCCβs 3rd #shepaddles event, this time in the pool at Ancholme leisure centre.
25 ladies and girls, some new to paddling and some familiar faces, joined us for a fun session learning and improving some basic kayak skills.
The British Canoeing #shepaddles initiative is there to get more women paddling but itβs also supporting women who want to develop their coaching and leadership roles. Our Paddlesport Assistant Lydia has been awarded a British Canoeing #shepaddles bursary which is getting her off to a good start on her coaching journey.
