I hope you have had a great summer.

Here’s a selection of the latest news and events from around the region:

Washburn

After a few cancellations over the summer, the Washburn is now releasing again and the next event is on Sunday 2nd October. Yorkshire’s very own dam release river offers superb Grade 3 paddling, and the committee is working hard to improve facilities year after year. Annual Meeting

This year’s regional ACM will take place in Ossett on Monday 31st October starting at 7pm. We will again be treated to a wonderful pie and pea supper. Put the date in your diary now.

Regional Vacancies

Due for election at the ACM are the roles of Chair and Secretary, key roles in the development of the region. If you would like to know more about the role, please contact any member of the RDT for a chat (contact details). Alternatively, come along to the next RDT meeting on Monday 26th September in Leeds and see what we get up to.

Coaching

A club coach development weekend is being held at Manvers on 8/9th October with the chance to take part in various modules including slalom/polo/flat water racing coaching, and also foundation modules ‘Coaching the Mind’, ‘Fitness for Paddlesports’ and ‘Performance Planning’.
