We are very please to announce that we have been successful with our grant application to Sport England for £10,000 to purchase several new marathon boats!

We will be purchasing a mixture of boats of varying stability. More details will follow in due course after the coaches has finalised the specification for the boats.

The committee would like to thank our Fundraising Officer, Zandra Holden, for all her hard work in preparing the bid.

Confirmation of our award from Sport England
Now you all know who Zandra Holden is!

Can we please remind all members that if you want to attend a coaching course that you can apply for funding from GSCC, but we need the completed funding application forms returning before you go on the course. The Club Funding Policy and the Application Form can be downloaded by clicking here

This applies to non coaches wishing to embark on a coaching career, and to existing coaches who wish to do further training. If you wish to become a coach, please discuss with our coaching officer first (Neil Marley), who can explain the qualifications you first need.
